Mr. Thompson was appointed general manager of Carmen Canning in Jamaica. He spent his first months of familiarization with the various operations and management practices. Although he had a great experience in the fruit industry in Hawaii, Jamaican situation is quite different. One major concern to him was the overall lack of responsibility shown employees.
