Superior Savings Bank was a small community bank that had been operating since 1924, in Superior, Wisconsin. Its corporate office was found downtown and two nearby divisions were opened -one in a prominent supermarket, SuperOne Foods, and one in a large-box supercenter, Walmart. The Board of Directors and top management were content with the bank's size and performance.

Nevertheless, in 2012, another increase opportunity presented itself, as well as a decision needed to be made add a third branch or whether to maintain the status quo. The bank had the choice of offering services in a soon-to-be-developed SuperOne Foods in the eastern part of town (3 miles from the corporate office). The bank's President along with CEO, David H. Stack, was required to decide whether to expand or keep the bank's businesses at its current level.
