La Fageda is a manufacturer of high quality, naturally-made yogurts in northern Catalonia, Spain. La Fageda is considerably different from its chief adversaries for example transnational Danone in that it is a 270-individual workers' cooperative with 60 percent of its membership composed of mentally disabled people. Since its establishment in 1982, the organization has aimed to incorporate the emotionally disabled by supplying dignified wages and significant jobs. As of March 2010, La Fageda has opened a brand new production facility up to create ice cream in an urban area outside its own well known agricultural farm.
