Fighting corruption web platform "ipaidabribe.com" uses transparency and anonymity on the Internet for private citizens of India, who have been victims of corruption to self-report bribery in detail, including the bribe, the name of a corrupt official, and services rendered. Portal ipaidabribe.com then combines this data to create maps and diagrams of corrupt activities on Indian cities. The theory is that such data will increase awareness and shame rising cost of corruption. But after the initial success, supported visibility derived from the mass street protests against corruption in 2011, traffic to the site has slowed.
