In 2014, 3 previous Code for America fellows started a 1 year skunk works journey to utilize innovation to enhance the registration procedure for California's BREEZE (food stamp) program, CalFresh, to increase the variety of citizens getting advantages in San Francisco. The case explains a user-centered method to recognizing traffic jams within the CalFresh registration procedure and the inexpensive, quickly service proposed-and built-by the group. The case asks trainees to think about the dangers, chances and obstacles developed by infotech in the general public sector and regardless if taking a user-centered method to policy execution can enhance social service shipment.
