Jan Markham's team was currently considering Enterprise Cascadia as a potential awardee for her foundation's Community Investment Excellence Awards program.
The program was established to understand and aid in the growth of community development financial institutions that attained superiority in each of six areas: eyesight, use of funds, direction, innovation, financial strength and operation, and impact and policy. Markham's job was to discover if these requirements were fulfilled with by Enterprise Cascadia and if it would have been a prudent investment for her foundation.
