Career Mentoring for Women: New Horizons/Expanded Methods Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

Although women make up nearly half of the work force in the U.S., the number of girls who hold senior management positions in large U.S. companies continues to be disproportionately low. This fact raises concerns about individual equity and equality of opportunity.

Herein, we demonstrate that using mentoring plans that are powerful holds great promise as a method to boost the number of women in senior management roles. An extensive study supports the mentoring plan recommendation, as do examples of foreign businesses which far more readily employ women in executive positions than do U.S. businesses.
