Progistix-Solutions Inc.–The Critical Parts Network Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

President and Chief Executive Officer Progistix-Solutions Inc. asked the analyst for the annual review of the critical parts of the Xerox Network for submission to the Office within two weeks. President expects the analyst to consider the performance of the network and establish improvement plans for the coming year, with the support of specific goals and objectives. Although, Xerox and Progistix were satisfied with their relationship after five years, the two sides were interested in exploring ways to improve the network, particularly because competitors have adopted similar approaches. In preparation for the meeting, the analyst wanted to explore opportunities in three specific areas: first, to identify opportunities to improve depot operations. Second, determine how and where Progistix could work together with Xerox for this initiative to make additional improvements in inventory management. Third, improving the overall system performance of all the cut-off point of reviewing the inventory to fill the trunk of technicians with inventory.
