This case describes a small non-profit organization called Backyard Harvest (Byh). The focus was Byh collect excess food from individuals and small farmers and make the products available to local banks for food. Amy Gray Byh began as a program of local environmental non-profit but recently created a separate and independent organization Byh. Due to the recent national press about the organization, Amy has received several requests for help from a handful of people across the country are interested in creating their own version of Byh.
