In 2008 the Supreme Court of India revoked the 2G spectrum licences issued to a lot of local and international firms by the Telecom Ministry due to serious infractions in the granting procedure. One of the worst businesses that are affected was Norway's Telenor communications firm, which was involved with a local company in a joint venture, Uninor, which had all of its licences cancelled.
