So Long to SingleStop? (A) Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

This case coupling was intended for use in the Darden School's Global MBA for Executives program in the central Direction and Organizations course and is also suitable for MBA, EMBA, and Executive Education classes in a module encompassing transformational leadership or the human resource strategy. The field-predicated case utilizes the experiences of three supervisors at a big-box retail distribution center to establish the stage for an analysis of transformational leadership in a sizable firm.

Kevin Henson has worked at big-box retailer SingleStop's distribution center for just four months when he was offered a job at another firm. Though it was undergoing a tough renovation he had joined the firm in the spring of 2012. Difficult first month and his catastrophic hiring process are described from two other management members of the business and Henson's view. Henson must choose whether to give another chance to SingleStop.
