Introduction

In this white paper, I take the role of a senior consultant working on a project for Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). We would be now discussing the importance of completing the education program that leads to certification in the global strategic Human Resource Management or HRM for short. The organizations of today are becoming highly effective by enabling their first line managers and the middle managers to adopt the most effective HR practices within the workplace and manage the people effectively on a daily basis.

Progressive and talented teams are helping to transition and transform their organizations by creating effective HR teams that help the organizations with employee engagement, training transfer and the turnover cease. These are the core factors in the basis of which the performance of the organization and its operational effectiveness is based. Today, capacity building has become the core need of all the organizations. These help the organizations to sustain their growth and achieve all the measurable results.

Most of the international and domestic organizations have started to build their capacities at the local, national and their international levels and this is becoming the core component of their corporate strategy. In the coming years the role of the HR would be expanding and not contracting and capacity building would become core to the success of organizations (Christens, 2015).Our purpose of writing this white paper is to discuss in detail the importance of completing an education program that leads to the certification in the global strategic HRM concepts.

SHRM Mission and Role in Strategic HRM

The SHRM is the largest HR professional society in the world and it represents, 285,000 members around 165 countries of the world. The organization has been the leading provider of the resources of HRM and serves the needs of the HRM professionals, it has around 575 affiliated chapters in the US and has set up subsidiaries in UAE, India, and China. The vision of the organization is to recognize the authority for expertise, resources, perspective and leadership to deal with the most emerging, current and the pressing issues in the field of HRM (SHRM, 2018).
