Road Well Traveled (Condensed) Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

Presents the findings in 1992, a mail survey of Harvard MBA who started their own business. Questions focused on four areas: 1) the development of the business concept, 2), Sales and Marketing, 3) finances and 4) construction workers. Surveyed entrepreneurs include 24 in consulting, 17 in professional services (most financial), and 46 in the "traditional" businesses ranging from agriculture to manufacturing to long-distance telephone service. Overall, the survey results directly compared with those from an earlier study of 100 entrepreneurs are from the "Inc 500" list of fastest-growing new businesses. Despite the differences in education and capital resources of the two groups, they showed remarkably similar.
