The country manager, Jan Eriksson, at joint venture in Indonesia. At the time of the case, Novartis is the world's biggest pharmaceutical company. The case describes the measures Eriksson took to combine the operations at Indonesia with Novartis parent companies Ciba Geigy as well as Sandoz company and to establish a brand new organization during the crisis in the year 1997-1998.
