The case examines the successful economic initiatives (Red Shield), whose profits help support the legendary religious organizations (Salvation Army) during the creation of social value of the low-income sector through the sale of used goods. The main direction of the case on its growth strategy, as the red shield should increase its financial support for the Salvation Army. In late 2007, the protagonist of the event was appointed director of the Red Shield and was expected to offer alternative solutions to increase revenues in order to ensure sustainability of the organization in Argentina. The new director is faced with the dilemma of what to do, and he is considering various options for growth with the opportunities provided by the context.
