In the 1990s, environmental activists have become interested in trade for the first time. While the GATT, the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade, and was formerly the province of trade specialists, the new site popular among environmentalists portrayed monster "GATTzilla," devour the land, dolphins, and democratic institutions.
