Dysfunctional Executive Behavior: What can Organizations do? Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

Much has been made of dysfunctional executive behavior recently. As such, the objective of this article would be to aid organizations in the design of executive work. To construct a work environment that diminishes self serving and unethical conduct, we propose that organizations arrangement managerial discretion, the accountability environment: an executive's work around three variables, and relationship composition. These variables are used to describe how organizations can design executives' work so as to promote more advantageous executive behaviour. We describe how these variables ought to be regulated, along with how they affect each other.
