During the end of 1990s, it was demanded by the customers that they wanted consulting services in order to complement research services, which werepreviously bought. Offerings and the business's business model thrived in the technology boom.

Digital Economy's decision makers were assured the business's business model and offerings were infallible and the changes in the surroundings would be short lived. Sadly, this kind of evaluation and following conclusions resulted in significant losses in the next two years. The parent company combined or demanded Digital Economy to realize a gain by the subsequent fiscal year or be totally shut down. The management team did not see the demand for change aside from the economy that was Digital was facing crisis.
