Number of small businesses are suffering, often in dramatic ways: by increasing the presence of multinationals in their home markets. Small businesses often face a very difficult set of options as they consider whether and how they should interact with the TNC. This article critically evaluates the strategies of small businesses are adopting in a globalizing world. The most effective strategy of globalization through partnerships with local affiliates of TNCs in their own backyard, which can then be used to create opportunities on a global scale.
