Breezy Plains Acres: What About Me? Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

Breezy Plains Acres started as a little farming business in Minnesota in 1927 having a homestead on a small property. Today it is run by fifth and fourth generation of the Richter family, it turned out to be a five-million dollar, complicated agribusiness that contained both owned and leased cropland and field, five other locations, a few hog finishing components, and cows. He understood that with an increase in sophistication arrived difficulties and he looked for best way to keep the business inside the family for future. He had many sons/daughters and grandchildren. He was worried about who would run the plantation, and how many of non-farming kids had significant interest in it and the finances to buy into the business. He remembered instances of farms being offered to strangers due to the kids battling for the way in which the property was broken up. Being not unfair to his kids was fundamental. As he examined the problems, he pondered, "What could I do to help ensure that future years of Richters may still possess and handle Breezy Plains Acres?"
