A User-Centred Approach to Public Services (B) Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

This case describes a user-centred approach to public services and is a result after a pioneering collaboration between Hong Kong Design Centre and Hongkong Post. Leveraging a strong brand and distribution networks and its extensive retail, Hongkong Post has grown beyond the standard postal service to providing a comprehensive and wide array of services in the logistics supply chain, at the same time diversifying into new markets. Hongkong Post understands the current layout of the post offices at the retail level might not be able to fulfill the growing demands and changing patterns of its own users. Users in this circumstance, include post office staff and both customers. Case (A) focuses on the internal layout, while Case (B) focuses on the external layout.
