Yahoo in China (A) Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

In 2007, Jerry Yang, CEO of Yahoo!, has been criticized by U.S. Representative Tom Lantos, chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs, for the role of Yahoo in the arrest and imprisonment of Chinese journalist Shi Tao, a supporter of democracy. The case describes the actions that Yahoo! has to develop its business in China, it by requesting a state identity Yahoo! user, and follow-up of the company in response to the negative publicity and the Congress of the investigation.
