WIC Program Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

WIC Program Case Solution

Problem Statement:

The problems that persist in the voucher processing activity include the number of WIC Voucher Monitors. The vouchers that are required to be screened are 12000 to 15000 per day and it becomes impossible for the Monitors to screen the vouchers properly due to too much workload on them. The leader needs to increase the number of Monitors to make this process efficient and fast.
The voucher processes are not linked with each other properly and it takes substantial time to process all the procedures that are needed to be done. The leader should integrate the system to make these processes fast and effective.
The information flow between the organizational systems as shown in the Exhibit 3 is very complicated and hard to understand. The process also takes too much time and is complicated to understand.

The vouchers that are submitted directly to the State agency can be omitted from the reports that are generated by the bank and the reports might not show the real amount paid to the vendors, which can create problems in reporting and forecasting the total amount paid to the vendors. It is required to integrate the system so that the transactions are not omitted from the reports and show the real figures, which are necessary for the organizational planning...............
