Taxi! Role-Play Three Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

This is a Darden case study. Sold as a set, this role playing series supports students to clarify distinct points of view when in leadership roles (UVA-OB-0921, 0922, and 0923). Before seeking solutions, pupils must get a clear, complete picture of the issues at hand. Using the "desire-got-difference" model works good. The substance affords students the opportunity to develop persuasion techniques.

The exercise includes three parts: 1) An executive with Metropolitan Airports Commission at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport who must make certain that taxi companies preserve a high intensity of quality customer service; within the precedent year the commission has acknowledged close to 4,800 grievances concerning taxi drivers who refuse to transport passengers carrying alcohol; 2) One of 900 Islamic Somali taxi drivers whose mosque leader ruled it was in opposition to Islamic law to carry commuters with booze; 3) A passenger who, after a long journey, just needs to get home with a few bottles of wine, but fights to find a taxi driver who will take him or her home.
