This article explores the impact of two major factors of competition, the dynamics and regulatory pressure for carbon management strategy by some of the most energy intensive UK listed companies. Despite a significant increase in awareness of its potential strategic importance, so far little in the approaches of these organizations indicate that climate change have changed the competitive field or induced radical changes in the business models of the UK carbon-intensive companies.
