Call to Action (CTA): Health (Malnutrition)

The Call to Action that I have chosen is ‘Health’ that will mostly reflect the issue of ‘Malnutrition’ in the country. The Malnutrition and other imbalanced diet related issues have a significant impact over the health of indigenous people, mostly the children and women. (Strangest, 2021). In my opinion, the provincial, federal, Aboriginal and territorial governments are responsible for the recognition and implementation of policies for the healthcare-related rights of indigenous people according to the laws and treaties of the country.

I think that the matter of malnutrition must be assessed by the governments regularly. All levels of government must resolve the jurisdictional disputes so that all health requirements of the natives are addressed properly. The funding of healing centers in the country must be prioritized, so that awareness related to health practices is spread and resources are accessed by the natives equally. These funds would also enable the Canadian healthcare centers to cater to healthcare affairs in the country and gain required resources, like staffing and training conveniently. From the analysis done, I have learnt that, in order to cater the rising issue of malnutrition in the country, the implementation of above mentioned call to action is very important.

In nursing, it is very important for me to consider the importance of nutrition and the impact of malnutrition on patients. As we know that malnutrition is the deficiency of the certain essential nutrients that are essential for the body to prevent from various diseases and regulations essential recovery mechanisms. I think malnutrition is the main root of various diseases associated with recovery and immune system of the body, while by providing the proper nutrition to the patients it boost the recovery mechanism and prevents patients from various diseases.(Sauer, 2016).

There is a direct relationship between malnutrition and immune system of the body it is because by an immune system of the body required various essential vitamins and other important nutrients that help in various immune responses So it is very essential for me being in nursing to maintain the proper nutrition of my patients that help them speed up the recovery process during surgery and illness while aid to protect them from various pathogens that cause diseases. In my opinion, it is an important responsibility for a nurse to address the nutritional needs of patients by conducting screenings, administering interventions and performing assessments. (Barker, 2011) While malnutrition is not a just a problem, but it is the main cause of various diseases which have various negative effects on health.

To overcome the challenges regarding the indigenous health issues that include malnutrition and other challenges regarding nutrition, it is very important to arrange certain health care events and trainings that help the people prevent from various indigenous health issues. (Swinburn, 2019)As we know that because of the indigenous health issues there are various health problems take place which include obesity, Diabetes and malnutrition. So I think these issues can be overcome by organizing various health care events and training for the medical and nursing staff, which help them protect their patients and other people who are affected by indigenous health issues.

I think most of the indigenous health issues can be resolved by providing various health guidelines and medical collaboration of government agencies with the medical institute which aid the community to prevent themselves from the indigenous health issues.(Fanzo, 2014) While the issues related to malnutrition can be regulated by providing various funds and health care facilities by the government to the affected community so this can lead the improvement in the health rate of the country’s natives. If the mentioned call to actions is implemented well, then the decrease in the rising problem of malnutrition could be possible and the natives of the country could get the required health related help....
