paREDI: Regional Economic Development and Strategic Planning Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

Saskatchewan, the director of Planning and Development Services, is examining the strategies and models for the economic development of the Prince Albert City. The Economic Development Committee of the city asked the Saskatchewan to present, whether an in-house, arm’s length or blended model that could generate the desired results from the city and its around.

The director is also required to give a direction for strategic planning process guidelines for a new regional body that could follow. As many of the stakeholders have a positive attitude regarding the city development and growth, thus the director is quite optimistic about the future plans. But approval from each of these stakeholders is also critical to transform this planning into success.
