Fernando del Sol, President of Inversiones FS in Chile, just bought yourself a headache like a real New Year. As of December 31, 2001, he acquired the Chilean generation and transmission company called Edelnor, which was in danger of becoming insolvent in a few months. Del Sol was six months to restructure the company, before it becomes completely untenable, and his headache is aggravated by the fact that the process of reorganization of the company in Chile usually runs in the courts, often for two or more years.
