The organizational behaviour between the Reece Enterprise and O’Grady Company is very different and identifiable. Tony Stark who has just recently joined Reece Enterprise isfinding difficulty in adapting to the new culture and working environment. Tony worked in O’Grady Company for the last ten years where he enjoyed the decentralized systemin which the employees were given the power of making decisions.

The decentralized structure also gave the employees an opportunity for growing and improving theirskills and also in earning promotions. This meant that the employees were given freedom related to their work and responsibilities. The cultureof O’Grady Company was afriendly culture in which everyone got along with each other and there were hardly any conflicts. The company also motivated its employees through promotions and pay increase through their efforts and recognition. Tony Stark intended to work in the company for a long time due to being satisfied by the organizational culture, structure and his job responsibilities. However, due to thecompany being shutdown, Tony Stark had no choice but to start looking for a different company and soon he found a position in Reece Enterprise.

Reece Enterprise has a completely different culture and conducts its operation in a different way.Almost all the companies have  a different culture and working environment from one another. Tony Stark was having a hard time adapting to the new culture and working environment since the reward system of Reece Enterprise was based on the duration of the person on a particular job and hispolitical activities in the company. The company did not follow the same decentralized approach as O’Grady which resulted in limiting the decision making of the employees. For making decisions, three signatures were required from the higher authorities and all those managers were busy. This also limited the employment opportunity for improving the skills and earning promotions. The working environment of Reece Enterprise was not friendly as many of the colleagues did not accept newcomers who were appointed for the same position.

The advice which could be given to Tony Stark is that he can try to look for another job which meets his culture demand and organizational structure. However, it is difficult to find any job in these dire times but due to his 10 years of devotion toO’Grady Company he may present himself with the opportunity of joining a company. AsTony has just finished his first week on Reece Enterprise, he should try giving more time to the company before making any decision in moving to a new company. At first not every person is able to create trust and loyalty among the colleagues, it takes time building relationship with the fellow employees.

He should further try talking to the higher authority and with the people who are not getting along with the culture for bringing organizational change. Letting the higher authority know that people are not satisfied with their job and organizational structure would result in poor performance of the employee and eventually the downfall of the firm. The higher authority should be convinced in changing the decision making process for being more effective and incorporated and should also try to form an easy communication with its employees and managers.................
