The founders of B Lab are on a mission to create a new sector of the economy, and are particularly focused on a three aspirations: 1) building a society of Accredited B Corporations (B=Advantage) that legally enlarged their corporate responsibilities to include consideration of diverse stakeholder interests, 2) improving the public policies necessary to create a new corporate type called as the Benefit Corporation, and 3) developing an investment rating system to assist drive institutional investment to the promising asset category of "impact investments."
