Assigned Leaders Group Discussion Exercise: Assessing Your Leadership Skills Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

The objective of this exercise will be to assess students' group leadership and followership skills. Participants get ready for the exercise individually by reading six mini-instances that describe people-management challenges and then choosing a solution for these challenges from the alternatives provided in the end of every case scenario.

Throughout the exercise, the participants are haphazardly assigned to discussion groups of five to six members, where each person serves as a participant for the remaining five case discussions and as a leader for a particular case. The conversations give participants the chance to demo follower group behaviours and powerful leader and to demonstrate their oral communication, judgment, and decision-making skills. Self-assessment and group observation types are given.
