Women on boards of directors: Why skirts in seats arent enough Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

Most organizations focus on just gender diversity on their boards. This approach misses the point. The complex relationship between board gender diversity and the effective management of such a variety that can be negative, positive or neutral impact on organizational performance, indicating that organizations can take advantage of gender diverse boards in appropriate conditions. This article discusses what the conditions allow gender diverse boards thrive and what conditions lead to failure. Organizations usually increase the representation of women on boards of directors in order to achieve one of two objectives: gender equality and good governance.
