Why did Vasa meet this fate?

Answer 1:

It is said that fate cannot be changed or it cannot be ignored by an act of precaution. However,it can be minimized with the help of precautions. Nonetheless,the fate cannot be denied. The Vasa ship had to sand and it did sink. The reason behind the disaster is not a single one but there are a number of reasons behind the disaster. The series of decisions that went wrong made the disaster a history.

The first decision that went wrong was the decision taken by the king to make the structure of a small ship into a large ship’s structure. The second reason for the disaster was the illness of the person who was responsible for the ship’s construction. The third reason was to hand over the ships construction to the inexperienced assistants of the responsible person.

However this handover was for the period of illness but later on that person died. The assistant was given the responsibility to construct the ship and finish it on time. The decision taken by the king without having the knowledge of the structure and infrastructure of the ship about the changes in the ship was too much against the shape of the ship and made it unstable. The stability test was ignored, which clearly showed that the ship was not stable. These all changes made the ship unstable and the cause of it to sink....................
