Tampa General Hospital: The Politics of Privatization Case Solution
In 1996, Dr. Bruce Siegel was appointed as president of a financially distressed public hospital, Tampa General. Siegel must consider both the prospect of privatizing the shortage-ridden hospital, at the exact same time walking a political tightrope due to the demand to obtain the acceptance of local elected officials for whatever path he plots.
