Sondologics: Product Diversion and MAP Violations in Internet Channels Case Solution

This is just an excerpt. This case is about SALES & MARKETING

PUBLICATION DATE: November 17, 2016

Sondologics, a producer of audio, video gaming, and video devices items, was experiencing rates and circulation issues in its channels. Various merchants were grumbling about unjust rate competitors from unapproved merchants, i.e., gray online marketers, on standalone sites or Amazon's Market, providing discount rates of approximately 30% off sale price. The business approximated that about 10% of its retail volume in the United States was being created by unapproved merchants. Intensifying the issue, gray online marketers and licensed merchants alike were offering at below-list rates, which breached the Sondologics MAP (minimum marketed prices) policy.
