Shunfeng Express (SF), China's leading express delivery business, in May 2014 started the first 500 of several thousand Heike shops, which allowed consumers to buy and try out SF's own e commerce offerings, in addition to other services.

As an example of China's "on-line-to-offline" shift in e-commerce, Heike retail stores allowed SF to leverage logistics and IT expertise to create a distinct image from its competitors in express delivery. It is yet unclear whether Heike stores offered consumers an irresistible value proposition.
