Reinventing the Automobile: General Motors AUTOnomy Project Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

The history of attempts to General Motor to develop hydrogen fuel cell car. In 2003, GM has developed several prototypes of the vehicle in order to demonstrate the viability of the overall concept. Many uncertainties remain, however, due to issues of cost, safe storage of hydrogen on the vehicle, and the lack of hydrogen refueling infrastructure. AIDS students to develop a strategy for pushing this initiative, including the question of how the radical new design should be and what to do with the competitors, who aggressively pushed, the technology of hybrid vehicles - which GM has decided not to emphasize in their portfolio.
