Nick Stryker, Harrisburg city councillor, is troubled by the mayor's proposition that the city government should summon a three-day "praying and also fasting" assembly, which a contingent of religious leaders would attend. Harrisburg is in dire financial shape as well as on the edge of insolvency.
While Stryker thinks faith has its position in the life of one and does attend an Episcopal church, he is unsure about what action to take and is uneasy with the mayor's suggested course of action.
