Pabst Brewing Co. Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

In late 1984, Pabst Brewing Co, was the object of absorption contest for the second time in three years. Almost two years after the reorganization in early 1983 Pabst continues to suffer from low profitability and high debt servicing costs. This case describes the absorption of contests and asks students to analyze the situation of S & P Co, one of the bidders. S & P had several options, including the purchase of all or buying Pabst participation in the transaction with a third party.
