China’s Outward Foreign Direct Investment Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

China's outward foreign direct investment (FDI) is gradually rising. The United States is a key objective for China's outward FDI, and the reply by the American people tends to drop at opposite ends of the spectrum: fever or panic. Chinese FDI in the United States faces challenges posed by its accountability of foreignness in ethnic, political, promotion, and technological aspects.

Using mini case studies, we herein analyze the polarized answers to Chinese external direct investment, its history, and the challenges confronted by Chinese multinational corporations operating in or attempting to enter the U.S. market. Finally, strategy propositions are proposed.
