Senior partner Rob Smith just gave construction consulting firm Davis Langdon through major organizational changes in Europe and the Middle East. In the past, compensation mechanisms are not encouraged partners to work through the company to serve more global and complex needs of clients. In 2007, under the direction of Smith, the partnership agreed to implement holistic change. This includes changing the geographical structure of the sector and a new profit-sharing system that encourage partners to work together for the good of the company as a whole. Against the background of the global economic crisis, Smith must decide how to extend on a global basis to achieve alignment of the company started in Europe and the Middle East.
