Each bed in the hospital is given two bed sheets as well as a pillow cover; yet, there was 2% added usage of linen owing to various reasons including linen becoming dirty, wet, etc. Apollo hospital keeps a safety stock of linen for just two days and any linen sent for washing is returned on day d+2. The aim will be to develop a mathematical programming model to minimize the overall cost of linen direction.
