Lightspeed Venture Partners–International Expansion Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

Looks at the various international expansion models for venture capital firms in Silicon Valley. Lightspeed Venture Partners believed that India has a huge potential for the return of venture capital - the question is how best to use this potential at the same time a growing presence in the U.S., Israel and China. Venture company recently hired partners in Israel and China, and later opened offices in both countries. The firm is considering hiring a third international partner in India, and possibly open a third foreign office. This model seemed to be working in two other countries, but other companies were U.S. companies in India in a more aggressive manner.
