Johansen’s New Scorecard System: The Summit Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

Johansen's, a large high end department store, just completed its first year under a brand new scorecard system for evaluation of managerial performance. The manager of Store 51 has been one of the firm's top-performing supervisors from a monetary standpoint, but his overall performance rating has dropped due to performance along non-fictional dimensions.

Using a role-playing exercise, the supervisors at the performance summit must discuss his performance in the context of a fresh performance evaluation system, measurement dilemmas around the non financial metrics, and retention concerns.
