The case explore the challenges facing Massachusetts General Hospital relating to the adoption of a fresh disease control policy, which guarantee to boost patient safety, operational performance, and profitability. The pioneering strategies involve bringing together diverse subdivisions within the hospital, namely the Emergency Department, the Infection Control Unit, along with Admission Services. Students are initially asked to assess the financial functional and clinical implications of the new policy.
They are then requested to analyze different strategies to its implementation.
