Horse Vet LLC: Transaction Analysis and Statement of Cash Flows Preparation (Option 1) Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

This case relates to the fundamental basics of accounting and statement of cash flows. In Part I, students are presented with 23 business events, they should be evaluated for recording in the financial statements. Part II requires students to prepare in the 2012 statement of cash flows using the information provided to the company in 2011 and 2012 year-end balance sheet, together with the 2012 income statement. In Part III, the students have to rely on the balance of 2011 and 2011 statements of cash back to work to get the end of 2010 the balance. There are two versions of the case: Version 1 and Version 2. Option 2 case is a bit more complicated than the case of option 1. Instructors must use option 2, if they feel justified students in their understanding of the statement of financial relations and the usual set of financial statements of a typical business events. In both cases, to strengthen students' knowledge related to the process of accounting and the relationship between the financial statements.
