Founded in 1938, very sure of Transport ("BAT") is a leading third-party logistics ("3PL") company in Taiwan. Originally trucking route and transportation company serving domestic customers, HCT has become a company providing integrated logistics services to global customers. Throughout its history, the company has flourished, despite stiff competition, economic difficulties and rapidly changing market environment. HCT now competes with domestic and foreign players. Despite these problems, Chen Rong-chuan, chief operating officer of HCT, sees huge opportunities in the trend since 1990 of outsourcing logistics functions for professional logistics companies, such as HCT. In order to increase profits for the company, he insisted on innovation and service-oriented approach to be the future direction of HCT and have complete cultural change within the company. He stressed the important role of information technology in the development of HCT in a 3PL-leading company that offers logistical solutions in Taiwan and around the world.
