Hewlett-Packard Company: CEO Succession in 2010 Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

Mark Hurd stepped down as the CEO of Hewlett Packard in 2010 after the board discovered that he had misfiled expenditure reports and further paid an H.P. service provider for unproven work.

Succeeding the Hurd’s resignation from H.P., he later on joined Oracle, an H.P. challenger. Shortly afterwards, the H.P. board appointed a new CEO following an eight-week search.
