El Farol Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

This case introduces students to the design of artificial agents and evolutionary game tournaments minority W. Brian Arthur. After Arthur, the game story is motivated by El Farol, a popular music bar in Santa Fe, CA. The bar usually attract large crowds with his programming Irish music on Thursday evenings. Place only offer a limited amount of space, which detracts from the enjoyment of music programs when the audience grew bar capacity. Moderately attended events were highly successful with the majority of customers. Crowed bar, however, will decrease the pleasure to the point where most of the patrons would prefer not to take part in the event.
