Demandforce: Pursuing Entrepreneurial Dreams Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

This case lends itself to courses covering the theme of fast expansion of an enterprise. By 2012, Rick Berry, the founder and CEO of Demandforce (DF), and his team had developed a company with annual sales of around $70 million. DF further assisted small businesses with the software tools utilized by more than 23000 separate businesses and 50000 business users to communicate with their customers.

A high customer renewal rate of 88% evidenced the organization’s value creation for its customers. However after Intuit acquired DF in April 2012, Berry understood that the game had changed drastically. He was confronted with a fresh challenge-one he had never confronted: establishing a large company. He needed to take his business and grow it into one with $750 million of salary as fast as possible.
